Connectivity for Schools

Connect students to a brighter future, affordably.

Representing one of the largest national educational broadband service (EBS) providers in the U.S., Mobile Beacon is deeply committed to ensuring all students’ connectivity needs are met in and out of the classroom. At Mobile Beacon, we believe all students deserve equal access to educational resources. Yet, 80% of e-rate funded schools report inadequate broadband connectivity in the classroom and 75% of school districts have no strategies to address out-of-school internet access.

For the 5 million households with students who do not have internet access at home, these children are often unable to complete homework assignments, they miss family time waiting for a public computer to become available at their local library, and they go through school without fully developing the digital skills necessary to fully participate in today’s digital world.

Helping to bridge that divide, our service offers:

  • Savings up to 80% annually compared to commercial rates with our $10/month internet service.
  • Anywhere/anytime access with a choice of mobile or fixed 4G LTE devices.
  • Unlimited data plans so lessons aren’t limited to low-bandwidth educational resources.

Mobile Beacon can help your school:

  • Provide out-of-school access to students who do not have internet access at home.
  • Meet the broadband demands of the Common Core State Standards Initiative.
  • Create a low-cost, backup internet source so lessons aren’t interrupted by slow speeds or a lost connection
  • Offer affordable, out-of-school, mobile internet access to teachers and staff.
  • Create instant wireless access in unwired areas of your building.
